| God’s words are meant to be understood. The words themselves promote understanding, not only of themselves, but of the world, just as light reveals everything visible. One doesn’t need theological training in order to understand God’s words. God communicates so as to be understood. An obedient heart, not theological training, is the prerequisite for understanding God’s Word. |
