“I didn’t believe what was said until I arrived here and saw it with my own eyes. In fact, I had not heard the half of it! Your wisdom and prosperity are far beyond what I was told. … Praise the Lord your God, who delights in you and has placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king so you can rule with justice and righteousness.” … So King Solomon became richer and wiser than any other king on earth.

    Encouragement for Today
What impressed the Queen of Sheba about Solomon? His wisdom and prosperity. These went hand in hand, and together, they were a witness of God’s glory. Being a wise, prosperous, and generous Christian can be a great witness. What is there about your life that would impress an unbeliever? Do people look at your life and want to be like you? Do they want what you have, not only in terms of material things, but because they see a quality of life that they lack? How can you let the goodness in your own life point people to God?
