Breakfast at Ikea

I have finally gone out with the ladies for a day-out. We had breakfast at Ikea. Had mee-hoon for 99cents. Can you believe that? Had a free flow coffee for 3.00rm. It would have been a free coffee with free refill if we came in before 9:30. We would have eaten a breakfast of mee-hoon with coffee/capuccino for only 99 cents if we have gone earlier. But we didn’t know that free coffee was only until 9:30am.

After breakfast, we went around Ikea’s showroom. I was actually looking for a fondue set and was happy to find one. Cast iron, full set, but it’s 199RM! Couldn’t afford lah. Not this time. So next time I go back there and buy the set. I would so love having fondue set.

Bought some nicely scented red candles, Chrismas wrapping paper, two rolls of it with a roll of ribbon, some house decos, and some blings for our Christmas tree. I told you can never window shop only in Ikea. I can never do that. I can never go out of Ikea empty-handed.

We went to The Curve to find a good place for lunch… but the group decided it was a bit pricy there so went back to Ikano to go the food court, only to be disappointed because the food court was no longer there. We ended up having Ichiban Ramen for lunch.

After lunch, we went to Home Improvement shop to see if I could find another fondue set… only to be disappointed again. Jac and Karen wanted to go to Tesco Lotus… but Kwee Heong decided to just drop them off there coz she didn’t wanna get stuck in the traffic jam. On the way home, Kwee Heong took us to SS Taman something to buy some things for baking stuff. Aletta bought some nice things for cup cakes. I bought a cup cake noozle set. Since the second hand shop was nearby and Kwee Heong likes checking things from there, she took us there as well. I bought two boxes of wooden, educational toys for Christmas gifts for the kids.

Then we came home. it was a long day… but fun. I had fun going around shopping with cool ladies of different nationalities. It was our first ladies’ day out actually. I had been planning on doing that since early this year… but only today we got to doing it. We’re planning to do this once quarterly. It’s nice to just hang around… without work talk… and just have fun.

Peter took care of the kids while I was away. I am glad for a day break. God is good.
