I am still trying to catch up with a lot of things left behind. It seems like my work is becoming endless. And I’m too lazy to finish them up. The other day, I spent my whole day just lazing around while waiting for kids to come from school. I mean while waiting to pick them up.
I’m supposed to be cleaning up… I am supposed to be preparing for my next trip… I’m supposed to be writing about some Ferrari parts… I’m supposed to be busy… But here I am… lazing around. Somebody kick me butt please. LOL.

I have previously blogged about our travels which are already lined up for the first half of the year. The Philippine trip was not in our plan… but I was glad to be able to go back and spend time with my sister. She’s going to the US soon and we dunno when we can see each other again. We also made a trip to Zambales to surprise my oldest sister. I haven’t seen her in 4 years! You can just imagine how shocked she was to see us right at her doorstep.
I also flew to Kota Kinabalu. I was supposed to be climbing Mt Kinabalu with hubby there but because of the delays in my passport renewal, wasn’t able to do so.
I have made other bookings for my family members as well. Looks like I’m an AirAsia fan now. I have noticed that when you book your flight by AirAsia, there’s an option to get a travel insurance. That one I always take… just in case. If probably they offer a term insurance, I would probably grab it too. Seriously.
Anyways, I have another trip coming up on Saturday. I haven’t been to this place so I am really looking forward to this trip. Will let you know of the update soon.

One of the things I miss doing here is going to the malls. I miss going to Ikea furniture mall… I miss going to Sunway Pyramid. Yesterday, when the kids and I were talking, I told them we were going to Sunway Pyramid the next day. So I asked them… what did they wanna do in Sunway Pyramid. My two-year old girl said: shopping! LOL. She’s only 2 and shopping is already in her vocabulary. Too much exposure from parents, I should say.
Sunyway Pyramid is a posh mall. They have a very modern POS system. Digital signage is everywhere. There’s also an ice skating rink. My boy loves going there. When I was away, hubby took my boy there for ice skating. I love going to Marks and Spencer there. In fact, I’m planning to go there tonight. I wanna buy a couple of liquid handwash and hand lotion for our guest room. I love the Magnolia smell.
When hubby comes home, we’re going there. Can’t wait.

A few more months and we’re leaving this house. We only have a 3-year contract to stay in this house. The house owners are coming back from a job posting abroad. We were actually hoping they would extend their stay there. Unfortunately, the prefer living in Malaysia.
We are now looking at some options:
1. Move back to our apartment
2. Look for a house in the same area
3. Rent my brother-in-law’s house in Putra Heights. That house is very new… nobody has ever lived there. They bought it last year but decided not to live there because they have finally settled in their house in Bandar Parklands.
There are so many things to do. We need to decide soon. If we’re moving back to our apartment, that means, we have to sell some of our furniture now. When we moved here, I bought a lot of second hand furniture from e-bay. We even have an office furniture now in our study room. Those will have to go away too.

We just came back from visiting my sister in another town. It took us 6 hours by bus to get there, and 6 hours to come back. Victory Liner buses are so efficient and I like their buses. BUt 6 hours of sitting in a bus is not easy. I am now having shoulder and back pain. Maybe I should just buy a shoulder pain pump. It would probably ease the pain.Right now I am resting, checking emails, writing posts for my blogs. And the pain gets worse and worse.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. …
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?”
—Romans 8:28, 32
What amazing verses of reassurance and hope! All things work together for good to those who love God and are seeking his purpose for their life. And the promise is that we will also have everything we need from God, because he already gave us his most precious gift possible: the life of his Son. Why would he withhold anything else, Paul argues. So today, rejoice that God is working everything out for your good. (—Diane Eble, author of Abundant Gifts: A Daybook of Grace-Filled Devotions)
As I ponder today’s Word… I can’t help but be reminded of God’s faithfulness in His promises. Sometimes, when we look back, especially when we are in a difficult situation, we would always ask why things are happening in unexpected ways. But at the end of the day, we realize that everything we have gone through has a purpose.
For one, I had been doing some physical training in preparation for Mt Kinabalu expedition. But out of the blue, I realized that I needed to come to the Philippines to have my old passport renewed. You can’t imagine how much distance I walked, how many stairs I climbed up and down… and how much I stood up just to have my passport renewal processed.
Now, because of the delay of the processing, I wouldn’t be able to climb Mt Kinabalu… and to think that I have done a lot of physical training just for the climb! But then, I needed that kind of training to sustain me while I was doing my passport renewal.
I was actually doing the training for my trip in the Philippines and not the Mt Kinabalu expedition! Ha! Truly, God is true to His word when He said in Isaiah 55:8-9 (New International Version)
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the LORD.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
God never ceases to amaze me.

I’ve been watching movies ever since my problem of renewing my visa was solved. I’ve been using my sister’s portable DVD player. It’s funny because when I was in Malaysia, I was thinking of buying a new one. In fact, I looked around for it… but discovered it cost a LOT! Anyways, I found out that this one cost the same here in the Philippines. It’s actually very convenient to use this portable player. You can sit at any furniture, anywhere inside the house. The latest movie I saw was The Bedtime Stories which starred Adam Sandler. He’s really a good comedian. Anyway… I’m planning to watch more movies, thanks to my sister’s portable dvd player.

Sense of urgency is important in achieving your goals. I have noticed that I may be laid back at times but when work calls, I always have that sense of urgency. I must do my best at each task and must complete it fast. That’s how I do with my writings. I may end up having grammatical errors, wrong spellings, weird sentence structures… but I make sure I correct all the wrong things that are brought to my attention before I complete and submit for approval. If of course, after completion, I still have mistakes, that’s because of my naivety… or lack of knowledge.
Here hubby comes into the picture. And I always appreciate the effort of correcting me.
Sense of urgency. Sometimes people relate it to being impatient. I don’t. It’s finishing a task by the deadline. Not a last minute thing to do.You don’t wait until the heavy ball falls on your head to decide to finally make a move to avoid it. By the time you move, your head has already been hit!
Sense of urgency. It’s my personality.
Sense of urgency and the lack of it (at least in hubby’s part), has been my struggle for 5 years in my marriage.
I dislike it when people are slow to decide… only to realize that at the end of the day… we come up with the same decision.
The lack of sense of urgency results to a lot of disappointments and frustrations.
When can people learn to have a sense of it? When can people learn that being patient is not equal to a lack of sense of urgency?

Have you heard of aluminum fence installation? It’s kind of new to me.Oh well, what do I know with all these stuff now? I used to study engineering and worked for 3 years as an engineer… but that was like more than 10 years ago. Gosh… I can’t believe it’s that long since I was doing my profession.
There’s a lot of new terms and new methods now in the engineering industry. It would be hard for me to catch up if eve I decided to go back into engineering works again.
Hmm… so… would I go back to work? Probably. Just not on the area of engineering. Perhaps I will try teaching.

We have 7 more months and we need to leave this house. The house onwers who were posted in Holland decided to come back and not extend their work there. We were actually hoping they would since we thought they would love the lifestyle there. But we were wrong. They are coming back. Now we have two options: to go back to our small but cozy apartment or to look for a house for rent in the same housing area where we are at now… Real estate rents should be cheaper now, including commercial real estate… knowing about the economy meltdown and what not. Anyways, we have a few months to decide. I also don’t mind going back to our apartment but for more convenience sake, I would prefer to look for a house in the same housing area.
