Truly Works

Monday, July 20th, 2009

I know that I am in dire need of diet pill that works. With all the food that I am taking in nowadays, it’s just normal to be concerned with my weight. Yesterday, after the kids’ seminar that I conducted, we went to Kajang, another town in Malaysia, to have satay. I’ve heard that Kajang satay is the best satay in Malaysia. What is satay? It is a Malaysian cuisine consisting of barbecue meat, rice, cucumber and peanut sauce. The meat can be chicken, beef, mutton, etc. So if you happen to be in Kajang area, look for any satay shop and you will truly enjoy this Malaysian cuisine.

For 4 of us adults plus 2 kids, we ordered 10 sticks of barbecue meat each. So you can imagine how much meat we ate yeterday. But of course, we don’t always go to Kajang so migth as well enjoy their satay while we were there. And think about dieting later only. Fair enough!

Mom’s Cooking

Monday, July 20th, 2009

Since my parents came here, my mom has been incharge of cooking. I love mom’s cooking and I am so glad she’s here to cook for us. And so you can tell that I have been eating a lot since they came here, considering that they also brought chorizo, dried salted fish, carrot pickles and smoked milk fish from the Philippines. I have been eating. a LOT! I don’t have one of those ellipticals. I might just take a walk at the park for my dose of exercise. I really need to… otherwise, I would gain more weight again.

True Love

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”

—Romans 12:9–11

Encouragement for Today

“Love is action, not feelings,” Christians often say. But these verses suggest we are supposed to feel something as well. How can we foster an emotional component in our relationships with fellow believers? Perhaps the key is in the last part of the verse, which could be translated, “but let the Spirit excite you as you serve the Lord.” The Spirit wants to excite you about serving God and loving from the heart. Let him!

Kettlebell

Monday, July 20th, 2009

I have a friend that got a sample of Kettlebell from Kettle Worx. When she told me that, I staright away thought it’s for cooking stuff. I think because of the word kettle. I didn’t know that it’s for exercise. My friend has been trying to lose weight and she was excited when she got one. I can’t wait for the result though. I wanna see how she progresses.

A lot of exercise stuffs are now being introduced and one can get easily confused which one offers the most effective results.
