Too Much

“Too much activity gives you restless dreams; too many words make you a fool.”

Ecclesiastes 5:3

encouragement for today

What an interesting verse for our times! How many of us are involved in too much activity and inundated with too many messages (some say it’s in the thousands)? How do all this activity and all these messages crowd out what’s really important—relationships with God and others and even yourself? What can you do to stem the tide of “too much activity” and “too many words”? Unplug the computer and schedule in some “down time”—or don’t even look at the schedule for a day. Try going through a day speaking as few words as possible—only the words that will truly matter. You’ll be wiser and sleep better for it!
