Sicky

Monday, December 21st, 2009

My friend has been sick for one week now. It has affected her work because she couldn’t go to work. She said she went to see a doctor. The doctor gave her medicine but she said after taking medicine, she got worse. And what’s more, she got her face all swollen. I told her maybe she’s allergic to the medicine. She said she’s going back to the doctor to check and ask for allergy relief. Although she said she’s never been allergic to any medicine in all her life, except just recently.

I remember 2 or 3 years ago when a family member suggested I use cellfood. I tried including it in my diet. I started getting hives. I never had allergies before. Apparently, after I stopped using cellfood, my hives went off as well.

Sometimes we never what gives us allergies until we stumble into one. The worst thing that could happen though is when we don’t know the source of allergies.

Express It

Friday, December 18th, 2009

“O LORD, oppose those who oppose me.
Fight those who fight against me.
Put on your armor, and take up your shield.
Prepare for battle, and come to my aid.
Blow them away like chaff in the wind—
a wind sent by the angel of the LORD.
Make their path dark and slippery,
with the angel of the LORD pursuing them.”

Psalm 35:1–2, 5–7

encouragement for today

This Psalm illustrates that we can bring all our troubles and feelings to God, even vengeful and fear-filled ones. Here the psalmist is desperate, and he expresses to God his fears and overwhelming desire to escape. We can do the same, bringing all our troubles and feelings to God in prayer. What do you need to express to God today? His ear is always attuned to you, in love.

A Promise of a Healthier Lifestyle

Friday, December 18th, 2009

I have promised. I even list out some things to do to maintain a healthier lifestyle. That started after discovering that my BMI (body mass index) was way beyond what’s supposed to be normal. I panicked. Hence, the diet and a promise of doing exercises. Okay, I dieted. But I haven’t started exercising yet.

I am one of those who are not fortunate enough to have a fast metabolism. So no matter how much controlled portion I do, I can still gain from food I eat. Some people can eat a lot and never gain weight. They are so thing they’re desperate to gain weight and some muscles. So some would even try taking bodybuilding supplements to make them look bigger. Hmmm… Makes me think and wonder if Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner in real life) took some of those. Everybody noticed a dramatic change in his built.

I promised to live a healthier lifestyle. I want to do it. I need to do it. I am not getting any younger. I wanna be healthy and fit for my family. That would be my priority.

Pure Words

“The LORD detests evil plans,
but he delights in pure words.”

Proverbs 15:26

encouragement for today

Do you like the idea that you can delight God? Well, here’s one way: using pure words. Words that build up and heal and tell of God’s goodness, holiness, and might. True words. Words spoken from a pure heart. Today, bring a smile to God’s heart with pure words!

Page Rank Update

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

I am pretty sure that at the end of this month, Google will once again update our blogs’ page ranks. Are you all ready for the update? I am not. I need to work on my blogs. I need to do something to increase my PR. But then again, nobody knows Google’s algorithm in slapping giving out PRs. But we could just try our best. We could submit our blogs to a free directory list, work on gaining more traffic, do postings on a regular basis, etc. What about you? What do you do to maintain your page ranks? Or do you even care about having it?
