Aside from Gossip Girl, I also watch Glee with my friends. This series for me is more realistic and relatable since it talks about losers in high schools, the cool kids and the normal beings. The songs they sing are also rendered beautifully and the cast portrayed their roles convincingly. I like the character of Kurt. He’s gay and adorable. He loves to wear Marc Jacobs and pink ties to school. And he is very true to himself and to other people. There’s nothing pretentious about him at all because he says whatever he wants to say and do the things he wants to do.
In a way, I want to be like him. Not to be scared of what people might say or scared of taking risks. To be able to stand up to the things I believe in and to fight for everything worth fighting. But it takes more than a TV show to change to a better person. Every character in TV or in the movies has something that makes them likable to the audience. I think that is Glee’s charm, the characters are far from perfect and we can easily hate and love them.
