Internet Connection Problem

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

I was trying to finish my job online last night… errr… not exactly last night because I was still up until 3:00 in the morning. There was a power trip and everything went off for a few milliseconds. And when the power came back, I couldn’t connect to the internet already. I tried re-booting my computer but it just didn’t want to reconnect although the wi-fi internet was on and working.

I just have to connect to the internet again. I so badly need to finish my work. So I came down to the shops and now I am still doing my online work. The connection is much better. I just have to type harder though because the keys are so hard to press.

Today, this afternoon, we are taking a 14-hour train ride to go back to Kuala Lumpur. Some of my jobs can wait. When I get back home, I need to list down things to buy before the year ends. I may not order cigars but I need to order some things as Christmas presents for family online.

Gosh. There’s just too many things to do, too little time to spare.

But I always believe that in order to succeed, we do things one thing at a time.

Beauty School

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

I just posted on one of my blogs about Regency Beauty Institute and they are based in Minneapolis but they’re spreading their branches all over the United States of America. They started 50 years ago and they’ve been growing fast ever since. They do have quite a unique approach to cosmetology education and that they ensure the quality of the education for the students and the salon community.

I haven’t really explored beauty schools in Malaysia. I’m sure they have some but I hope to see Regency Beauty Institute making it to Malaysian market. It would be a great addition to what we (probably) have in the country.

Booked

Monday, December 13th, 2010

We recently booked our hotel stay in Phuket. My husband has been using this hotel for a few years now for a few reasons. It’s actually located conveniently at the heart of Phuket. It’s easy to get to the public transportation. The bus station is just a walking distance. The malls and the shops are a walking distance as well.

I am not sure though if the hotel has glass tiles but it would be good to find out. And the hotel rate is quite cheap. My husband can get discount also, especially when he has a group of people to book for a stay there.

Having said this, I am excited to go to Phuket now. We are just waiting for our friend to come pick us up and send us to the airport. See you later!

Shopped?

And so what did you guys get during Black Friday? There was so much cheap stuff that you could find online the day after Thanksgiving. I am sure many of you took the opportunity to get what you’ve been wanting to buy, at a sale price.

There’s no black friday sale where I am at, but actually, you can check out online and can purchase from anywhere in the world. I am sure there are a lot of online stores that could ship the products internationally.

Saturday TV

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

My kids discovered some cartoon shows on tv a couple of months ago. And so, they look forward to watching tv with one of those tv antennas on Saturday. I usually don’t watch local programs on tv. It’s just that my boy found the local programs accidentally. And I guess it’s okay because it’s on weekend although I still screen which cartoon programs they watch as some can be very violent.

And also, some can even be using foul languages. I just don’t like it because sometimes my kids would slip and say them too. The only thing I could do is quickly tell them those were not good words and don’t allow them to watch it anymore.

That’s why I don’t mind buying kiddie program for them on dvds or cds. At least I could tell which ones they can watch without me being watchful on what they see.
