Which Ones Really Work?

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

With so many diet pills available nowadays, one can’t help but be confused which ones really work and which ones are scam.

I have some friend who tried using some of those but failed. They didn’t really achieved their weight loss goals. For me, I guess I found the right one. But that was a long time ago, when I was still single.

I took some appetite suppressants and it really worked for me. I have reached my goal weight. But now that I am in a different place, I can’t seem to find the right one. I also forgot the name. It was controlled but some small pharmacies still sold them.

Everytime I go to a pharmacy here, there’s just a whole lot of them lining up. I ended up not deciding which ones to buy.

But oh well, like my sister always tell me, I must start exercising.

She’s right.

Why Hair Loss

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

Our cleaning lady came one morning to clean the house. Take note that before she comes, I would quickly do a bit of cleaning so it’s not very embarrassing to give her a very messy house to clean. I especially cleaned the kitchen. That’s my favorite place in the house to clean. I swept the floor, washed the dishes and the pots and wiped clean the oily stove.

After she swept and mopped the floor upstairs, she came down and did the same thing to the living room and kitchen floor. Then she said. You have so much hair fall, yeah? Then I thought I just swept the kitchen clean and yet she still found so much hair there. I guess it’s time to find a good hair loss products that would cure my hair.

I used aloe vera before to massage on my scalp. But there’s I can’t find that plant here. Or maybe, I don’t look hard enough.

I must do something with my hair loss.

Information Technology

Information Technology played a very significant role in these modern times of globalization. Big time businesses avail most of its benefits with only computers and software to manage important business information. Processing is fast and hassle free as storing information, protecting information, processing the information, transmitting the information as needed, and later retrieving information as necessary is being taken care of by IT.

The world has become so small this time because of information technology jobs. Business deals can now be done anytime of the day, anywhere in the world and it will not take long hours of processing because of this IT wonders.

Thanks to information technology ideas, we have come to enjoy life while doing “business as usual”.

Driving in Malaysia

Monday, February 14th, 2011

This conversation took place a month ago when my husband was really urging me to start driving.

Husband: Jan, next week, you should get behind the wheels already. Must start driving already.

Son: Really? Mommy is going to drive already? Wow, I am sooo proud of you, Mommy.

Daughter: comes and hugs and kisses mommy.

Yikes. I don’t like driving in Malaysia. I don’t have that confidence. And besides, they drive on the wrong side of the road. I don’t have a sense of direction… They do drive on the left side of the road. Until now, I still get confused, sometimes. LOL.

Anyways, my husband is planning to buy me a car. I guess he’s eye-ing the locally made one as they have cheap auto insurance. Small car would better suit me, he said, so it’s very easy to maneuver.

All this talk and I haven’t even have a driver’s license yet.

What it Takes to Have a Great Wedding

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Your wedding was the wedding of the year.

Your wedding was an inspiration.

We felt so blessed in your wedding.

I almost cried at your wedding.

All these and more after we had our wedding at Cyberview Lodge Resort and Spa in Cyberjaya. Our wedding was one of a kind as we mixed both cultures and traditions in.

So we had the Philippine wedding style that has ring ceremony, Bible ceremony, cord and veil ceremonies. Then we had the Indian tradition of giving Thali (a chain with a customized pendant) to a bride from the groom’s family. Our was not one of those beautiful cubic zirconia wedding rings. It’s just an eternity ring that has a small diamond encrusted.

90% of our guests are not Filipinos so almost everyone was in awe in witnessing our wedding.

Then came the reception where we used the Western style of a Cocktail dinner. Everybody could move around and mingle around.

But what does it take to have a great wedding? I guess the preparation before the wedding was crucial. We even have a folder or organizer and list of things to do before the wedding. My husband and I love organizing things so when we did it for our wedding, we made sure that it was… errr… organised properly.

We only asked a friend to help us coordinate on the day of the wedding itself. We met a lot of friends, talked to them. asked for ideas… etc.

But what does it really to have a great wedding?

When you know that God has blessed the day…

When you know that you and your partner are God’s will for each other…

When the guests say we were so blessed at your wedding…

And when you believe that during the preparation, you not only prepare for the wedding but also for the marriage of a lifetime…

When you walk to the altar to finally tie the knot between you and your God-given partner… And your own father entrusts you to him…

and both parents are giving you blessings…

I guess it doesn’t matter what your motiff is. It doesn’t matter where you hold your wedding. It doesn’t matter how many people attend your wedding. It doesn’t matter if not 100% go according to the plan. As long as you have all the above, I say… you do have a great wedding.
