Second Honeymoon?

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

After a wonderful time with girlfriends during our “mommy holiday”, I was thinking it’s about time hubby and I plan for another family vacation. When was the last time we went somewhere for a family holiday?

There are actually lots of options, but we also have to look into our budget. Outer Banks would really be a dream –come- true for me! I am sure it would be hubby’s, too. Wait. How about a second honeymoon there on our 10th wedding anniversary? Haha..

Ok, so family vacation first. I need to check some resorts online. Meantime, the second honeymoon plans remain on hold for the moment. But it’s not such a bad idea, is it? *wink*

The Joys of it All

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

If last year was a year of travels for me, this year would be slightly different. Other than my recent trip to South Thailand which is actually just an 8-hour bus ride, I would am not going anywhere out of the country to be away from the kids—not yet.

I actually have an opportunity to travel with hubby again this year. Should I go or should I not? The idea sounded tempting. Being the travel and photography buff that I am, packing my bags, hitting the road, and another long plane ride thrills me. I call myself “the travel diva” for nothing, right? Haha.. Kidding. But really, I had to stick to my commitment to stay with the kids this year. That’s final. No regrets.

Instead of spending money for my fare, I am thinking of getting a Medicare plan instead. I think it would be worth the investment. This year, family matters matter most to me.

Oh the joys of selflessness in motherhood… I love it!

Koh Lipe Walking Street

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Koh Lipe has like a night market for tourists and guests to hang out in. It’s like a walkway with little shops selling souvenirs, massage parlours, eating places and even a place where people could just get a mat and a pillow and enjoy a good movie! It was fun just walking through that narrow street.

The beach on that side of the island was awesome, too. The sunset was beautiful and the moon was shining bright people were just lying on mats on the sand enjoying drinks and avo cigars cheap.

Since I was with fellow bloggers and we did not bring our computers, we were almost tempted to get in the internet cafe and just blog the night away. Thankfully the rate per hour was a bit too expensive so that we were able to go back to our cottage not being able to touch a computer keyboard! LOL.

Sometimes it’s just good to enjoy a good conversation, take a walk and see lots of things around us and not to be so caught up in the cyberworld. Just like what we did on that narrow walking street. J

Island Getaway

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

I had a blast with some friends at a beautiful island in South Thailand for our mommy holiday. We felt we deserved a break, and so we are so grateful to our hubbies for allowing us to just enjoy an island get away. Before we went we were writing notes back and forth on the possible things we could do to make the break worthwhile. We thought of watching movies on our laptops, bringing a good book to read… swimming, talking , lots of laughing and of photo shoots of course would top the list.

Watching movies, we were not able to do because no one brought a laptop J

Books, we brought… so all three of us had a chance to have some “me” time.

Talking, laughing, and photo shoots—we did, of course and did we have the best fun ever!

As young moms, we also talked about our beauty regimen, acne pills, beauty soaps and had some make up tutorials by me! Haha!!

So now we are thinking where and when would be the next mommy holiday. But before that, our hubbies would like to have a Daddy holiday, too. Hmm, with their busy schedules, I wonder if they could come up with a date and place. I doubt it! LOL.

Going Home Soon

Friday, March 18th, 2011

I am going home soon and I can’t wait. I’ve been away for almost a week. I am missing my family so much. I wonder if the kids feel the same way.

Having been away for almost a week, I could only wish we have one of those smart home systems where I can see my kids wherever I am, whenever I want to see them. You see, with our technology getting more and more advanced by the minute, one can’t help but appreciate the fact that we could see our loved ones wherever we are in the world.

I guess it would help too if my husband is away and we have that gadget. It would be nice for him to see us (me and the kids) everytime he is away for a meeting or for a work trip. Plus the fact that you could actually monitor the safety of your home makes it even more motivating to have it.

Should I make it a goal to have one of those gadgets next time? Hmmm… Perhaps I can do that.
