A Glimpse of Me

Do you have a collection? When I was a little girl (primary and secondary school), I used to collect stationeries. My friends and I would exchange different designs and show it off. We would be ecstatic if one of us would buy something that smelled nice. I can just remember those stationery days.

When I got older I started collecting stamps and post cards. Just recently, I collected some coins. I have us coins, mexican coins, pence, and a lot more coins. The thing is, I got so busy I don’t know where I put my collection.

I need time to dig around for them. And when I do, I’d sure put them somewhere nice and easy to spot.

Weekends for my family nowadays is so different. It is family activity-filled weekend for us. On Saturdays, Samantha goes for her drama lessons. In the afternoon, both of them go to church for their Children Church. On Sundays, aside from going to church for Sunday Fellowship, Samantha has ballet lessons.

I try to go to the park with them too. We can only do these things on weekends because on weekdays, they play at home with their cousins after school. I am also planning to teach some sports like badminton and table tennis. The have badminton rackets already. I need to buy table tennis rackets for them. I’ll probably buy a d-i-y table tennis table for them. I remember when I was a kid our dad made a table tennis table for us to play with.

Now with kids growing up, we do live a busy life. It’s tiring sometimes but I know it’s all worth it.

With advanced technology nowadays, it’s pretty obvious that communication has become so cheap. Long distance phone calls were so expensive. So if you have a family member who lived outside the country, one long distance phone call a month is already a luxury.

These days, you can call many times a day and it’s still cost a penny. With skype, you just need to be online at the same time and you can make free calls.

But for those who don’t have internet access and want to call their family, there are cheap phone calls that you can do. I have a friend that has small business phone system. And I use that phone system. He basically just key in a code in my phone and when I dial a code that he gave me plus the phone number I want to call, it’s so cheap. I can talk for more than an hour for 10$ with my sister who currently resides in the US. And I am in Malaysia.

Speaking of which, I need to call my sister now because I have some good news to tell.

Everytime I want to go with my husband for a trip, I would always bribe offer to buy my kids gift along with telling them I could buy it from where daddy is going. They would always sound ecstatic at the idea so it’s okay for me to go without them. That’s as long as I have a gift to buy for them. Funny my kids that way.

Anyways, I could probably buy my kids some gifts before going away. I saw from Personalcreations.com kid gifts for sale that they’re offering a lot of stuff to give for kids.

Hmmm.. I guess it would be nice to give them gifts in advance. What do you think?

I learned last week that I was going to go with my husband to Bandung, Indonesia for a meeting trip. I have heard that Bandung is a touristy place. That means it’s a beautiful place, right? I am excited. Although we’re going in June only, I can’t help but google some things to see, do and eat while in Bandung.

I might start looking for wheeled backpacks too as a preparation. I like to travel with a backpack. It gives you a touristy feeling.

Anyways, I am off to googling more on some touristy spots in Bandung. I could probably sneak out from the meeting and take some photos. Hahaha!
