To Trek or not to Trek in Ladakh?

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

I have now started planning another trip. This time, I am dreaming of going to India, to Ladakh, to be exact. Ladakh is where the mountains of Himalayas are and the region is just next to Tibet. it would be a dream come true if that happens. Ladakh can be cold, too as it is high in altitude.

I probably need to get some winter stuff like down jackets, wind breakers, etc., before heading to Ladakh.

Why Ladakh? I saw this Bollywood movie called 3 Idiots and was amazed by the beautiful scenery they were at. I google the movie’s locations and Ladakh was one of them. And so, yeah… I have started dreaming planning.

Coin Collection

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

Do you collect and challenge coins custom? I have gone to several different countries and one thing I want to take a loot at first is their coins. I don have a collection of those. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to organize them.

One day, I need to just sit down and go through them. It’s going to be a challenge coz now my eyes can’t see clearly. I might need to have corrective glasses soon so I can see clearly. Some of the coins are just too small to read the cost. LOL.

Anyways, so which country coins do I have? Hmmm… Let me scan my brain for coin memory. I do have some from England. I have some from Australia. I can’t remember if I save some from Colombia and Mexico though. Hmmm… My brain aches. LOL. Anyways, will have to scan my boxes later.

A Sport for Me

Saturday, October 22nd, 2011

When I was a lot younger, I used to be sporty and very active. Well, I still am now actually but with all the responsibilities I have at home, my online work and everything in-between, I just don’t have the time and energy to play a sport anymore. Of course I still want to if I would have the chance.

Geocaching caught my attention—this sport is an outdoor activity played worldwide. It’s like a “treasure hunt” concept, which enables those who play to travel and enjoy this game of “high tech hide and seek”. I am sure I would enjoy this outdoor sport since I love the outdoors, being techie and of course, going to places. Just in case you would wonder how to start the game, the source has geocaching outdoor unit… and you can start the ball rolling!

Holiday Hangovers

Friday, October 21st, 2011

Editing my photos from our last family holiday in Australia made me appreciate the beauty of the places that we have gone to. I could say that that was one unforgettable trip. I would love to explore other interesting places in down under in the future, except for the deserts with lots of poisonous snakes! LOL!

I love Port Campbell in Melbourne, especially. It was just so scenic—the vast field of greens and the magnificent view of the beach is just so peaceful and scenic. I did not see people riding on horses with equestrian apparel, though. Maybe there is another place where people could horseback ride. I believe the kids would have been thrilled if we had saw one. Well, there is always a next time. Until then, Australia!

Another Escapade?

Friday, October 14th, 2011

Since I had and still has the opportunity to travel abroad, I thought it might be a good idea to collect some souvenir items from the places that I have been to. First I should decide what I should collect. I think most people collect fridge magnets and postcards, but I am still thinking what items would be interesting for me.
I think paintings are a bit too expensive. Maybe vintage items would suit my taste.

I have not really started, but I can, in my next trip. Speaking of which, I still don’t know where I’ll be going. But based on experience, opportunities for travel just come before I even expect them. I consider them great blessings.

Should I include opus x cigars in my collection ? Let’s just see. Meantime I am still sorting out photos from our last trip. Something tells me I have to get excited for another exciting escapade before the year ends. As to where and when, I will have to find out. And I’ll blog about it, for sure!
