Today is Good Friday

Malaysia generally don’t observe Good Friday… let alone Holy Week. But I am sure Christians all over Malaysia are obsrving this special day when Jesus died on the cross to redeem God’s people.

There are different kinds of celebration for Good Friday. Others would re-enact the day Jesus was hanged on the cross. Others would be in silence. Others would wait until Easter Sunday to celebrate

But I cannot help it. I can’t stand the silence. I am rejoicing. I am in worship. I worship Him for who He is. I worship Him for His love and grace and mercy.

And I also pray…  constantly that He change my heart. I want my heart to be right before God. I want to be worthy of Jesus’ death of His resurrection… of His existence. I pray He gets the worship and the glory He deserves.

What is your prayer today?

Moved… again

I just moved my blog to another webhosting. My host said this is better. But I am so in the dark with all these moving here and there stuff. I don’t even know where my previous theme go. I am completely in the dark. And it’s quite frustrating. My host is the one doing for me. I appreciate all the effort… but I think it would be better if I did all the stuff. At least I would know how things work and not depend on her entirely… especially when I wanna change themes. Hahayy.. Me and my being technobobo.

PlayStation

playstationAre you fond of playing PS (playstation)? The PlayStation (abbreviated PS, PSone, PS1, or informally as PSX) is a 32-bit fifth generation video game console released by Sony Computer Entertainment in December 1994. According to ShopWiki.com, playstation, with its cutting edge processing ability and sci-fi-quality Blu-Ray disc drive, the PS3 is undeniably the most technically powerful of its generation, surpassing the Xbox 360 and Wii.

I am not a big fan of PS3 or any other playstation but I know that when kids grow up, they would surely ask for it. So now, I’m doing my assignment in advance: finding out more about PlayStations. At ShopWiki.com, they list down all the cool features the PS3 has, including it’s slim and short size which you can blend with your home entertainment equipment. If you’re looking for playstations, visit ShopWiki.com. They offer a buying guide for playstations.

Joy, Peace and Security

You have given me greater joy
than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.

Psalm 4:7–8grape-harvest

Encouragement for Today
The joy, peace, and security found in trusting God are greater and better than the joy that comes from having abundance. Imagine that! This Scripture acknowledges that joy does comes from abundance, but there’s an inner abundance that comes from pleasing God and trusting him. You can experience this joy despite debt, despite poor health, despite troubling circumstances. Circumstances will change—for better or worse—but God never does. That’s why we can trust him through anything.

What is Coccydynia?

A friend of mine is suffering from Coccydynia. She is going to the hospital now for treatment. She didn’t know how she developed Coccydynia. But I remember her telling me last time that she fell… but she only broke her fingers. She didn’t feel anything on her back. That was 2 years ago. Now she has been feeling a pin in her butt. Err back. SO she went for a check up and indeed, it’s a suspected Coccydynia. I didn’t know the meaning of coccydynia so I had to look it up in the internet.

According to coccyx.org, pain in the area of the coccyx (tailbone) is called coccydynia or coccygodynia (or sometimes a variety of other spellings). Coccydynia can be anything from discomfort to acute pain, varying between people and varying with time in any individual. The name describes a pattern of symptoms (pain brought on or aggravated by sitting), so it is really a collection of conditions which can have different causes and need different treatments.

Coccydynia can follow after falls, childbirth, repetitive strain or surgery. In some cases the cause is unknown. The pain can disappear by itself or with treatment, or it can continue for years, and may get worse. It is five times more common in women than men, probably because the female pelvis leaves the coccyx more exposed. It appears that in most cases the pain is caused by an unstable coccyx, which causes chronic inflammation.

Medical trials have shown that coccydynia can be cured eventually in the great majority of cases, given the right treatment. However, finding a doctor who can do a proper diagnosis of the condition and supply effective treatments is difficult, and many people suffer years of pain.

Flying in a Dream

I’ve been having a lot of weird dreams lately. Last night I dreamed I was flying up in the sky. But it was very low. I wanted to fly up higher but it was a struggle. I was on the electric wires level and I wanted to go up higher but I just couldn’t. Towards the end I decided it was time to stop so I landed. And my dream led me to another situation. I was in my high school school. And in my dream, I was going to study back there. I said to myself that no wonder I’ve been dreaming of going back to school because I was indeed going back to school. That was funny. It is really true that I always dream of going back to school. Hmm… It’s funny to dream this way. I am a dreamer. Both in sleep and awake.

Sometimes because I dream a lot, I would know the interpretation even though it’s very symbolic. I have mostly symbolic dreams. And when it’s not, it’s my body’s way of relieving stress. My symbolic dreams happen. They always do.

worst wedding?

it’s probably the worst wedding in malaysia that i have attended so far. it was in bukit jalil golf and country club. when we reached the place, the parking place was far and it was still a rough surface. i told my husband that this friend didn’t care about his friends and guests because the guests had to walk very far. when we entered the hotel, the ushers led us to the pool where the wedding ceremony was going to be held. the ushers showed us to our seats… which was in front. we were sitting there nicely when one of the ushers apologized and said if we could move so they can give the seats to the important person in fga  church because they realized there wasn’t any seats available for her anymore. well, what to do… they prepared 100 chairs for 300 guests! so the family literally stood up while feeling hot and sweaty. imagine a pool wedding at 10 am.

the good thing was, my boy needed to go to the bathroom. we went to the nearest one .. only to be told that only members could use the room. i asked where the other bathroom was. the receptionist just pointed me  to another direction and said “there, next to tennis.” my gosh i couldn’t even see where the tennis court was. so i asked again where, with a hint of irritation in my voice this time. another lady told me where the tennis court was… in Malay. i just left and decided to find where the tennis court was myself.

My husband followed me when he saw we were going to a different place. Finally we found the tennis court and the bathroom. Next to the bathroom was: the nursery! Hehehe. You know what we did? we went inside the nursery room. it was cool there because the aircon was on. and stayed there the whole time. hehehe. that time also, i had a terrible headache so my husband told me to just rest a little bit.

when the wedding ceremony was over, everybody went inside the hotel. that was our cue to go out of hiding. And went with the crowd to the hotel for reception. how naughty could someone get? but indeed, it was the most disorganized and most unprepared wedding i have gone so far. if they were on budget, why couldn’t they just do it in church? church wedding is a lot better. but of course, it must be their ideal wedding… pool wedding. they should just think of their guests and prepared chairs for everybody so that even though it was in broad daylight, and the wedding was under the sun, everybody could at least sit down and enjoy the ceremony.

having said all this, God was still gracious. i told peter that even though they didn’t care about their guests when they planned/organized this wedding, God’s grace was still on the wedding. i think i have said this many times in my blog: God loves weddings! (when the wedding actually started the place became cloudy. it was still very hot, but at least there were clouds to cover us from the sun). God loves it when we honor Him, and obey Him before we journey into marriage. And God’s grace was on the guests as the hotel served great food!!!

(and I am hoping that nobody from fga church stumbles upon this blog. LOL!)

I’m Like Esther!

I just took a quizz about “Which Mighty Woman of the Bible Are you Like?” I was surprised to get my result. Hehehe. I am most like Esther! OhMyGosh! Couldn’t believe it. So I asked my hubby. He confirmed.

You are most like ESTHER
You have a charisma; a way of having favor with people. You are beautiful in spirit, and when you are in dire situations, you tend to seek God to find your courage to overcome them. When the need arises, you will stand firm in your faith. You are true royalty, with your humble & gentle spirit you maintain, in spite of your obvious popularity.

God’s Delight

For the LORD delights in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.
Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them.
Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds.

Psalm 149:4–5

Do you feel in your heart that God delights in you? This passage says that God actually enjoys who you are. He is thrilled with you as one of his people—especially as you trust in him humbly. That just makes God want to crown you with all kinds of honor and victory. Can you let this honor become a cause for rejoicing, even as you lie down for the night? Sweet sleep can come with this kind of meditation.

Scientific World

Talk about inventive! You’re one of those people who has a special way of seeing a problem, wrapping your head around it, and squeezing out a solution that’s nothing but pure genius. So what if you never won at the science fair (but congrats if you did). The fact is, you have a mind made for experimenting. You enjoy a mental challenge and like creating — whether it’s a new invention for the sake of invention or something that solves people’s more immediate problems.

Don’t have crazy hair like Einstein? Don’t know a Bunsen burner from a test tube? No sweat. Maybe you’ll discover a cure for cancer. Maybe you’ll be the first human to set foot on Mars. Or maybe you’ll figure out how to safely make landfills evaporate.

Whatever you do, with a brain like yours, you’re bound for scientific greatness. So get going! Fame and fortune await! The world’s still waiting for someone to create that triple-chocolate, fudge, ice cream cake with zero calories! Or shoelaces that don’t fray at the ends, or headphones that automatically adjust for outside noise factors, or rainproof-breathable fleece, or…
