For Your Peace of Mind

November 18th, 2011

In our communities, no matter how secure and safe they are, there are still people who would go against the law. There are still who carry out evil motives and devastate lives. One crime that has brought police authorities is credit card theft. Credit cards emit radio waves that can be picked up by laptops and your card’s information suddenly gets stolen by these lawless people. In a matter of minutes, your money can be amassed by someone you don’t know.

Thankfully, clever innovations like the rfid blocking wallets have been developed to protect what’s inside your wallet. So for your peace of mind, have a rfid blocking wallet now and be safe all the time.

Engrossed with Deadliest Catch

November 18th, 2011

A friend of mine loves to watch the Deadliest Catch, a TV series shown in Discovery Channel. The series showcases the lives of fishermen and their fishing boats and the catching season for King crabs at the Bering Sea. It has been one of the top-rated shows of Discovery channel. She just loves how the fishermen earn thousands of dollars from catching King crabs, how they battle against typhoons, storms, big waves, snow and ice and other natural elements just to be able to bring home King crabs and make reports like the orlando fishing report at the end of the catching season.

I haven’t watched this show yet, but if I ever get the chance to see it, I’ll personally find the reason why my friend is so engrossed with the show.

Shedding the Light on LED Bulbs

November 13th, 2011

One of the coolest new things to happen in lighting technology in these past few years has been LED bulbs. These amazing little lights first came out on to the market in the early 1960s and slowly have began to take over the entire lighting industry. They are not just being used in new and exciting ways, but also to replace traditional incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs.

To begin with, LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are made without a filament, making it super durable and giving it the ability to be used in ways and in places that normal standard light bulbs would never have been able to before.

Now that manufacturing costs have come down you are able to see replacement LED bulbs and adapters in nearly any household light. They can be found in interior and exterior lights, traditional vehicle lighting, under the cabinet lighting, and even adding a ghostly glow to sleek looking cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Not only are these lights beautiful and hold incredible potential, they are also extremely energy efficient and long lasting. The standard incandescent bulb can last up to 750 hours, where as the LED light can have a life span as long as 100,000 hours. In comparison to how much power it takes to use one over the other, the traditional 20 watt incandescent bulb will generate enough light to read by. In contrast a group of LEDs that can produce the same amount of readable light will only need 1.5 watts.

When you consider the fact that LED bulbs cost less to produce, they are more flexible in what they can be used for, they are longer lasting, and they consume less energy, LED bulbs are the perfect replacement bulb.
Regardless if you are looking to simply replace your standard household lighting for a more efficient solution, if you are looking to add some exotic glow to your sports car, or if you simply want a safer and more elegant look for your Christmas tree, LED bulbs are paving a way into the future and show no sign of slowing down.

To Trek or not to Trek in Ladakh?

October 30th, 2011

I have now started planning another trip. This time, I am dreaming of going to India, to Ladakh, to be exact. Ladakh is where the mountains of Himalayas are and the region is just next to Tibet. it would be a dream come true if that happens. Ladakh can be cold, too as it is high in altitude.

I probably need to get some winter stuff like down jackets, wind breakers, etc., before heading to Ladakh.

Why Ladakh? I saw this Bollywood movie called 3 Idiots and was amazed by the beautiful scenery they were at. I google the movie’s locations and Ladakh was one of them. And so, yeah… I have started dreaming planning.

Wanna join me?

Coin Collection

October 30th, 2011

Do you collect and challenge coins custom? I have gone to several different countries and one thing I want to take a loot at first is their coins. I don have a collection of those. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to organize them.

One day, I need to just sit down and go through them. It’s going to be a challenge coz now my eyes can’t see clearly. I might need to have corrective glasses soon so I can see clearly. Some of the coins are just too small to read the cost. LOL.

Anyways, so which country coins do I have? Hmmm… Let me scan my brain for coin memory. I do have some from England. I have some from Australia. I can’t remember if I save some from Colombia and Mexico though. Hmmm… My brain aches. LOL. Anyways, will have to scan my boxes later.
