My Dream House

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Three weeks ago, hubby and I went to Putra Heights to check the show houses. They’re selling beautiful houses there. At first, I was hesitant to go coz we weren’t planning to buy a house this soon. Of course, we are planning to buy our own. But not this time. Maybe in 5 years time. We have an apartment and hubby is still paying for the mortgage.

Our apartment is not so big. Just nice for a small family like ours. But we don’t live there anymore. We live in a bigger house. Why would we live in a big house if we have an apartment that can fit our family already, you may ask. We have a lot of guests staying with us and they all come from different parts of the world. So we wanna make sure that we give them total comfort when they stay with us. So what we did was, we rented out our apartment and rent a double-story house for us.

My bother-in-law has also an apartment but he wants to buy a house coz his family is getting better. That’s the reason why we went to Putra Heights… to check on the houses and lots they were selling. I asked them whether they have money to buy a house now. They said no but they will apply for a house loan which means they will pay a monthly mortgage just to get that dream house of theirs.

I tell you, houses there are so beautiful my hubby almost wanted to book one for us. But of course, he gave it a lot of thought and probably, after we finish paying off our loan for our apartment, we can start buying our own dream house.

Two Cars

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

auto-loan-index.jpgWe have two cars we are using now. One is (old) Volvo which was left to us by our friend who have migrated to Australia and is Ford (also, old) which my husband owns. Hubby usually use the Volvo car because it needs to be running everyday. One to two days of just staying at home or unused, something happens to the engine. It’s due to old age, I guess.

Our Ford car is also old. I am using it to practice driving. I’m not very confident in driving yet but I know I have to have that confidence to drive. I’m taking my driving lessons slowly though. But how I wish we have an automatic car. It’s a lot easier to drive an automatic car. Husband said that if ever I learn to drive around, we’ll probably get a new one that’s automatic. I told him we don’t have money to buy.

He reminded me that we could take a car loan. There are a lot of companies that offer car loans. In fact there are available online. You just fill out the form and some companies will get that quote for you. And you can decided which has the best rates.

I am dreaming of having that Mercedes A170. Hmmm… I wonder if my husband will buy that one. Hehehe. I’m hoping against all hopes that he will.

Boracay Trip for my Sister

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

additional_earnings-68-small.jpgI need a cash advance. Like right now. My sister is asking money for her trip to Boracay next week. Actually, she’s not asking. Hehehe. She was just letting me know she’s going to Boracay to celebrate her friend’s birthday there. She studies in UPV in IloIlo so Boracay is not very far from her university. I’m happy for her to go to Boracay since I haven’t gone there myself.

She’s going next week. And I don’t have cash with me now. My hubby’s salary is not until payday. Maybe do a payday loan online. You can do payday loans online actually. You just need to search from the internet to do so. It’s very easy to apply and no need to send the documents by fax. You can easily get the cash right into your savings account.

The good thing with payday loans is you don’t have to wait for paydays to get that much needed cash. You can apply for cash advance anytime, anywhere, at your own convenience. It’s easily available online. And it’s quite safe and secure. You can not ask for more.

Now I need to end up here and send fast cash to my sister. She’s waiting for me now.

Moving On…

Before we got married, hubby and I were already talking where to settle when after a few years of marriage. He really wanna consider going to UK to study and finish his Masters in Accountancy. Well, that was 5 years ago and we’re still Malaysia. Not really sure when we can go to UK to further his studies but for now, I’m contented to be where we are.

However, I’m doing my research about where to stay in UK. I have checked out where to buy 2 bed flat in Bedminster Bristol. There are also Abram Manchester one bed flats for sale. I wonder whether we should buy flats or just rent. Maybe, rent first and if ever we decide to settle there after his studies, we we decided to buy a property.

Insurance Policies ? I must admit many , many years ago I was very skeptical of term life insurance. I really didn’t think it was important. In fact, I thought they were a scam, trying to make money out of innocent people.

But today… I no longer think that way. I really believe in the importance of insurance…. for many reasons. Today, I & my family have various kinds of life insurance. Insurance gives you: Security especially in times of need especially on retirement; Your family is ‘cared for’ when you leave earth for heaven; Funds to send our kids to college; House can be covered in case a fire breaks out or robbery and a whole lot more.

There are many term insurance to choose from. The most important is its low rate and security. So what we need to do before we apply for life insurance of any policies is to compare the policies and rates. Now with the advantage of internet at homes, we can do our life insurance quotes and buy it online… at the comfort of our home.
