I had a very bad spending habit. I shopped till I dropped. Or worse, sometimes, I realized that there are things I bought which is not needed and end up not being used. Last year was the worse. I went back to the Philippines for a holiday with my family. Hubby sent me and the two kids there and he came back to Malaysia after 3 days only and I and the kids stayed on for about 6 more weeks.
That 6 weeks that we spent there was very grand… meaning I spent so much it really hurt our pockets. Not just pockets but our credit limit. I used up my credit card to the max. I thought that time that I only went back home once in a while so it was worth spending money with family and friends… only to realize later that it was too much. Way too much.
My spending was too much that until now, my hubby is still paying for my debts. I think I need to have a
credit consolidation. I want to be free of debts. I don’t want to spend the rest of my year paying off debts. I want to improve my credit score. I’m sure it would be a help if I at least consolidate my credit.

Last month, our car insurance expired so we needed to apply for another one. Usually, we ask this trusted friend to do the reapplication year by year. He does this because hubby is always busy and no time to do this stuff. It is actually very easy to apply for auto insurance. You just need to have a time to do it.
The reason why we need car insurance is so that in case of emergencies or accidents, the cost of damage will be covered. You know, it is hard to tell the future of the car. Last December was the most trying time for us. We were so broke. Of course, nobody knew coz I made it a point to make our Christmas holidays special, with or without money. Most of our Christmas dinners were on potluck so I didn’t have to spend a lot on buying groceries for our food. I just bought some new things, small small things for our house decoration to make an ambiance for Christmas. The giveaways I prepare for each guest that come to our house was not that expensive either. I just wrapped them in a very special wrapper, which was recycled, and voila! I have created a very special Christmas Surprise for my guests.
Well, you might wanna ask me why we were so broke. Actually, throughout the year, we have used our credit cards tactlessly. By the end of the year, we have reached our credit limit and we couldn’t use any of them. Plus, there’s a lot more things we spent that even our money in the bank was used up. So the main reason of our being broke was the misuse of our credit card.
That’s why, for the new year 2008, hubby and I have resolved to be careful in our spending habit. We have learned a lesson. Expensive lesson it may be, but quite a good lesson.

I found myself feeling really weak this past one month or so. Although I don’t do much… I just watch my kids play and all that, but I feel very tired easily. Owe it to the busy month last December and not eating properly. Just last week, I decided to do something about it. I have to take care of my body mind spirit. I have finally decided that when I looked at the mirror, all I could see was a tired woman.
I haven’t been doing much about my personal development either. But it’s in one of my new year’s resolution list to do self improvementstrategy to look good and feel good. I must eat right, sleep early and wake up early. Just last week, when my boy started his school, I walked him to school coz it’s just a 10-minute walk and hubby wasn’t around to drive. I really call it a blessing coz if hubby was here, I would just depend on him to drive me and my son to school. After 2 days of walking to my son’s school back and forth, I started feeling energy swelling up from inside me. I didn’t feel tired at all. Although of course, it’s tiring to walk… but after walking and sweating up a bit, I felt so energized and I realized I could do a lot more without getting tired fast. I’m just so thankful that his school is just nearby where I could just walk. It really helps a lot with my goal, for my self-improvement scheme.

I wanna learn more about computers. I am so into computer and such. I can spend 24 hours just in front of my computer, checking emails, getting online, chatting with friends and doing my research. Computers really come in handy. In career worlds, we need to work on computers. So everybody’s encouage to do computer learning such as excel training and pmp training.
There are so many computer courses and training online. You just have to do your own research.

I’ve been involved in giving care to some workers in the field. Well, actually, my hubby is… I just support him to do it. To care is to care for a person wholistically, may it be personal, emotional, physical and even spiritual needs. To care for physically (especially to the needy, special, or aged), you need to really be trained to do it. There are so many available care homes now for these people.
There are so many options nowadays to get better caring from different care homes, depends on your needs and budget. There are options that are avalaible locally, and can give news and tips on bettercaring.
I have a friend who is taking a course about caregiving because she wants to extend her care to needy people. My sister is also trained to do that and is now looking for opportunity to work as a caregiver.
My friend, my sister… they care. Do you?
